BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav finds support; officers illegally selling food and fuel in Srinagar, alleges report
BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav, who has complained of poor quality food alleging corruption among senior officers on Tuesday, has found some support.
A report in The Economic Times alleges that BSF officers sell food and fuel meant for the personnel to outsiders at half the market rate.
Dal, rice, vegetables, petrol are among the products that are allegedly being sold illegally.
The report says shopkeepers near the Humhama BSF headquarters near Srinagar airport are among the beneficiaries of the illegal trade.
A trader was quoted saying products were available at throwaway prices.
A BSF jawan was quoted saying that officers even sold the daily use items to outsiders denying them to jawans
Tej Bahadur Yadav shared four videos from his station at Poonch showing half-burnt chapatis and watery dal.
He had alleged that senior officers were pilfering rations due to which jawans had to do with poor quality food or even go hungry at times.
