Last Snapchat video of Ludhiana students surfaces - taken just before gory accident
The Ludhiana students, who met with a gory accident, had taken a snapchat just before the crash.
A friend had shared that with police, helping them identify the victims. It has surfaced now and doing rounds on social media.
In the video, they could be seen laughing and singing Punjabi songs while in the car. They also uploaded a few of the selfies or groupfies which they clicked while resting on the way.
Five students from Ludhiana had gone on a long drive on Friday. It was at around 2 pm that their car hit a eucalyptus tree at about a distance of 12 km from Ludhiana.
The car was going at a speed of 100 km/hr. It hit the tree hard and split into two. Four of the students in the car, including 2 girls were spot dead. The scene looked horrifying, with blood and flesh everywhere.
Akshit Grover, 21 was the only one who survived in the brutal accident and has been admitted in a hospital. He is still in a critical condition.
Sanyam Arora, 20, Gaurish Verma, 21, Rishika Bassi, 19, and Ishani Jindal, 19 have been identified as the dead.
They were from different colleges of Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh and Delhi and were on a long drive to celebrate the purchase of a new car by Gaurish Verma, a third year engineering student.
Media reports said they were drinking liquor as told by the witnesses, near Birmi Bridhe of Sidhwan Chaal. On being objected by a few of them, they left the spot.
