Airhostess caught on CCTV stealing jewellery at Mumbai airport shop
Mumbai police have filed a case against an airhostess for allegedly stealing silver ornaments from a jewellery store in the airport.
The 27-year-old airhostess is currently employed with an international airlines and stays in Mazgaon in Goa.
She allegedly stole silver ornaments worth over Rs 70,000 on two occasions in December and January, reports The Times of India.
The shop unearthed the theft only in February when it found discrepancies in its sales account during an audit. It combed the CCTV footage suspecting theft and unearthed the evidence against airshostess.
TOI reports that the airhostess has secured interim anticipatory bail from the Dindoshi sessions court.
She has reportedly not denied the crime, but has claimed that it was unintentional.
Her lawyer further informed the judge that she had tried to return the valuables to the Sahar police, who had refused to accept it.
