Sunil Grover quitting Kapil Sharma show after assault in plane - splitting for the second time
Sunil Grover is quitting The Kapil Sharma Show after he was allegedly beaten up by the ace stand-up comedian on a plane, says a report.
While Kapil Sharma had refuted the incident, Sunil Grover had refused to comment indicating that the issue could not be made to wish away with a simple denial.
Senior journalist Subhash K Jha reports in DNA that Sunil Grover had already recorded the episodes for this weekend (March 18-19).
These would be reportedly his last appearance on the show.
The same sources also told Jha that if Kapil Sharma continues in the same manner others would also quit.
A drunk Kapil Sharma had allegedly abused and bashed up Sunil Grover on the return flight from Australia where they had gone for a show.
While the assault was said to be unprovoked, the tension between the two had been brewing for quite some time.
Sources blame Kapil Sharma’s uncouth behaviour for the trouble. He has allegedly begun to drink excessively and when he does that, he turns abusive. He likes to taunts his colleagues that they would be nowhere without his show.
Sunil Grover, a star in his own right, finds it difficult to take it. His ‘Gutthi’, ‘Rinku Bhabhi’ and ‘Dr Mashoor Gulati’ acts have been a crowd puller. He had split from Kapil Sharma to launch his own show, which had flopped.
As his absence had begun to hurt Kapil Sharma show as well, both had reconciled.
