Abu Dhabi stops traffic on highway to save cat (video)

Responding to a distress call, officials in Abu Dhabi stopped traffic recently.   And rescued a cat.   Khaleej Times reports that Civil Defence officials received a call on Thursday morning that a cat had been stranded near the  Sheikh Zayed Street.

Khaleej Times reports that Civil Defence officials received a call on Thursday morning that a cat had been stranded near the  Sheikh Zayed Street.

It was reportedly unable to get-off the street because of the traffic. So, they stopped traffic and rushed firefighters to the spot. 

A 44-second video shows four firefighters walking to the stranded kitten, gently picking it up and running back to their vehicles.
