Muslim man stays up all night to protect cow, new-born calf from dogs in Gujarat

A Muslim man, at Rehmatnagar in Gujarat, stayed up all night to tend to a cow and her newly born calf, while the local cow protection committee backed off from caring for them.

The nation has recently been rattled by cow protection terrorists lynching men of different religions, especially Muslims, for alleged infractions against the holy cow.

However, a different story unfolded in the Muslim dominated village on Friday.

A cow used to come regularly to the village and was fed by the locals. On Friday, she delivered a calf.

The hapless mother and her fragile child were sick and tired – on top of that, a number of dogs in the locality attacked them viciously.

Rajabhai Ghori, Mohsinbhai, Shabbirbhai and other members of the community came down to defend the duo.

However, since they did not have any prior experience of caring for sick animals, they contacted the local animal welfare committee.

They reached the spot and talked to the people – but they allegedly did not take the helpless animals with them to a safe place.

It then fell on the Muslim youth of the locality to care for the mother and calf all through the night – cow protection committees were nowhere to be seen, notes Alt News quoting a report in Divya Bhaskar.

On the next morning, Gelabhai Bharwad of Kumbharpura made arrangements for the pair to be transported to a safe place. Nagar Palika officer Girish Salaiya also pledged help later.
