A cyclop goat kid born with one eye in is drawing energetic media attention.

Black in color, it was born in a village in Assam. It also has a single ear.

Mukhuri Das, the farmer, into whose household the kid has been born considers it a blessing from God and believes that it will bring him luck. Even other villagers are said to  consider the little one sacred.

In the video, we see a lady gently holding the kid in her hand, and later, it prancing around, bleating, different from all other goats in the vicinity, but free and cared for. Mukuri Das feeds it like any other goat kids born into his family.

Stories and videos of this kid  has been reported in publications like Huffington Post, and Metro  UK.

The goat kid is said to suffer from a rare medical condition called cyclopia, caused because the two hemispheres of the brain do not separate during growth and development in the mother's womb.

Such unnatural offspring have been reported even in other animals like horses, pigs, cats, cows and dusky sharks.

Animals born with this condition do not last very long, usually for a few hours, but not more than a few days. But the kid from Assam is said to be going strong even after six days.
