A language debate is slowly building up in the country.

The public mood in many non-Hindi speaking states, particularly in South, is stiffening.

The central government’s zealous efforts to spread the use of Hindi is drawing a backlash.

Put Chutney has done a fun-to-watch 7-minute video with a powerful message to respect the linguistic diversity of the country.

A small Tamil family is haunted by a supernatural power – they flip dosa it  becomes chapatti.

A muti-lingual exorcist is called and he administers three tests to identify the trouble maker as a Hindi Imposition Ghost.

The first one turns the script on milestone from Tamil to Hindi. The second test clubs all four South Indian maps into one unit – Madrassee. The third test turns blood into a paan stain.

He also summons the Hindi Imposition Ghost, which wants to make the family learn Hindi national language.

The man of the house sorts it out. He says Article 343 of the Constitution states that India has no national language and each state is allowed to choose its own official language.

As the chastened ghost leaves, he calmly tells it that he has been an Indan for just 70 years and a Tamil for thousands of years.
