A proud Pakistani soldier slipped and fell during a beating retreat  ceremony at the Hussainwala border in Ferozepur district of Punjab.

The aggressive beating retreat ceremony involves staging mock fight between Indian and Pakistani soldiers.

A video of the incident shows the Pakistani soldier marching to face an Indian jawan. But he loses balance, slips and then makes a proper retreat.

The poor man is taunted by the crowd which breaks into an applause at his earth-shattering performance.

The Hussainwala border, where Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru were cremated, was a major transit point between India and Pakistan.

Though it was shut after the Wagah crossing was opened, the Indian Border Security Force men and Pakistan Rangers still take part in a daily Beating Retreat ceremony.

A year ago, the aggressive overtures between two Indian and Pakistani soldiers escalated into a real fight, with both the men making physical contact.

The Beating Retreat ceremony ironically started in 1959 as a goodwill gesture, but acquired aggressive tones gradually.
