A report filed by a senior police officer alleges that AIADMK chief VK Sasikala is running a special kitchen in a Bangalore jail and may have paid a hefty bribe for the illegal perk.

Sasikala is serving a four year sentence at Parappana Agrahara Central jail in a disproportionate assets case.

The report submitted by DIG prison D Roopa to State Government alleges that Sasikala gets food cooked by chefs in a separate kitchen near the women's cell.

The report damagingly refers to the speculation that Sasikala paid Rs 2 crore to jail officials to get special facilities.

It even takes note of the ‘talk’ that Karnataka Director General of Prisons (DGP) Satyanarayana Rao was one of the top officials who took money and urges him to take action on erring officials and set the matter right.

Roopa also accuses Rao of interfering with her work.

She mentions that he had sought an explanation from her for visiting the Central Jail on July 10 though it was her prerogative to inspect prisons which came under her jurisdiction.

Rao’s letter seeking her explanation shows how the prison administration had deteriorated, Roopa states.
