Abhinav Mukund, Indian team’s test opener, has given an apt reply to all the trollers on Twitter who had made fun of his dark complexion.

He posted a simple letter addressed to everyone regarding the ridicule he has faced throughout his life.

He said that he had been playing cricket since the age of 10 under the scorching Chennai sun which led to his skin getting a permanent tan. He does not regret it at all as it just showed his determination and love towards the sport.

He said that he was never really bothered by the negative remarks regarding his skin but he decided to speak up now as he wanted to address the racism spread throughout the country, now especially due to social media.

He then reminds people that ‘fair’ is not the only way to be lovely or handsome. He then concludes by asking people to stay true, stay focused and be comfortable in our own skin.
