A three-year-old old boy tumbled down a mall escalator in Hyderabad after riding a kid's cycle into it.

The incident that occurred at Big Bazar mall in Kachiguda, Hyderabad, left the boy, Abhiram, severely injured.

A local resident Sudhakar had gone to the mall on Tuesday night with his wife and two children to shop for the Ganesha festival.

His younger son, Abhiram, got on to a kid’s cycle, which was kept to entertain the visiting kids, on the second floor, where the other family members were present.

A CCTV camera shows the boy riding into an escalator ramp, which starts moving down. He tumbles down and crashes into the iron railings on the first floor.

Abhiram suffered a bleeding injury on his nose, mouth and a possible fracture in the face.

His father Sudhakar said he had not noticed Abhiram going on his own as he was busy buying a toy for his elder son.

“…When I was looking for Abhiram, I noticed that someone had met with a mishap. When I went close I saw Abhiram bleeding,'' Sudhakar told The Times of India.

Sudhakar has lodged a complaint with police alleging the mall officials were guilty of negligence as they had left the ramp unmanned.

Abhiram was rushed to Lotus Hospital in Lakidikapul where he was treated for his injuries.
